As weird as this is going to sound..I was on the fence when I first heard about this book and read the title. I am a chubby girl myself but I wasn't sure if I wanted to read about one..and it be a love interest because I wasn't sure if it would come off as believable and real to me. I know, I know..criticise me if you must but I'm just trying to be honest. Maybe it was my own self consciousness peeking through..I don't know. But anyway, I am involved in a type of book club group and many of the girls that I follow in the group were giving the book raving reviews so I figured what the hell..might as well try it myself..and it didn't hurt that the male lead devin michaels was definite eye candy.I must say..I was so very wrong. This book was extremely passionate and the realness emanated off of the pages. I loved the chemistry that Lilly and Devin share. Their love is beautiful and unique. I feel more beautiful being above average weight..and that I may actually find my prince charming out their someday. I fell head over heels in love with both Devin Michaels..bad boy turned mushyyyy sweetheart and the beautiful and confident Lilly. I loved the character development throughout the story..especially that of the evil ice queen-mother. She really grew and I hope that if these characters are shown in another book..it shows that the relationship with the mother has great into a great one because it seems that she really feels guilty and may actually act like a good mother.
I already foresee a second book coming on..involving a certain redhead and another notorious but sexy playboy?
I guess only time will tell..but I know that I will most definitely be waiting in line for it.
Tabatha, you did an amazing job at telling this story. I love the characters and I loved the ending. I cannot wait to read more of your work.
I give this book 4 stars. I hope to write a more lengthy and detailed review on my review website as I don't want to give any spoilers here. I would recommend this book, without a doubt. <3

Not bad, but I felt like at times I was reading the work of a teenager and her fanfiction. Devin falling immediately for the girl, no real big build up. And some of the more violent scenes it was like, wait why is this here, it was odd and out of place, like again reading a fanfiction. It had its moments, but they were few and far between. Decent read but, wouldn't die if I never read it.
This was a well written story about a young lady name Lilly that was teased as a young girl about her weight all through school. Lilly was missing something and that was the love of a man. Devin was down on his luck trying to keep his family home and business, he was running out of time. That's when he stuck a deal with the She devil, Lilly's mom. If he made Lilly happen for a few months 🍷wining and dinning her his problems would be gone. What Devin didn't expect was to really enjoy his time with Lilly, you see he would have never looked twice at Lilly, but he got to know the real Lilly and he found himself falling for the one person he was told not to. What will two people that come from totally two different world do when the L word is spoken. They both keep secrets but when Lilly learns the truth can she see beyond what Devin did to see his true feelings and worth. Great story subject.
I loved this story so, so much!! I seriously could not put it down. I went for a walk and thought about this story the entire time so I cut my walk short and headed back to read the rest.
Devin starts out as kind of a jerk. He's sexy af though and you'll see he turns out to be a great man worthy of Lilly. He's trying to save his family and their home doing the best he can when a woman comes into bail him out.
Lilly is a 20 y/o virgin. She's loaded too. She's sweet, caring, kind, and beautiful. Her mom has the best of intentions when she brings Devin into her life, but sometimes the best of intentions still cause the worst heartbreak.
Devin and Lilly have chemistry, much to Devin's surprise. Lilly doesn't want to believe he's into her, but she can't pretend she doesn't have feelings for him. The "we can't have sex even though it's exactly what we both want" was so hot and frustrating. Devin didn't want to take her virginity, but he also wanted her in the worst way.
Then came the night Jenny went to a party and asked Lilly to come get her. I was so scared for both of them then more so for Lilly. I could not read fast enough!!
The night Devin told the truth was the same night Lilly came to tell him the best news of her life. When he found the picture I gasped and wondered what could happen next.
This story, these characters, the lies, the twist and turns, the betrayal, ugh, it is SO good!! The characters feel so real. The story played out like a movie in my head and I could not stop "watching". Do yourself a favor and pick up this wonderful story. I cannot wait for the next installment in the Chubby Girls Chronicles!!
I enjoyed it while reading. Read it from start to finish without stopping. It kept my attention to the end. Safe read. Even though hero was with someone before hooking up with heroine, he never slept with her once he started his deceptive romance with the heroine and eventually broke it off with her. Hero was heroine's one and only. However, this romance has many hurtles to the HEA. Sometimes it was hard to read. Glad they worked it all out and got their HEA.

What I did not like is that every single time hero came back to heroine it was because of some external factor. I would have enjoyed him coming back to her because he just wanted it really bad. Instead it was because he got pressure from her mom, felt compelled to get the money to pay off family debt, heroine got hurt saving his sister, and she was pregnant. It would have been great that he ultimate came back to her, after leaving for some reason, on his own without any external factors.
